L-Theanine is a unique amino acid found almost exclusively in the tea plant (Camellia sinensis) and is the primary ingredient contributing to the unusual taste of green tea. Animal studies have shown that L-theanine crosses the blood brain barrier, increases dopamine and GABA levels in the brain, and inhibits the stimulatory properties of caffeine. This brand has helped me get the rest I need. I have had a sleep maintenance problem and am now 42 years old. My occupation can be very pressurized and since taking L-Theanine. It is the best OTC product that I have tried. It will keep me a sleep approximately the entire night. I must get it early or I will feel somewhat sleepy the next day. Its very NICE product, high quality, does just what I wanted it to do. It really assists with stress and anxiety.
