An ideal supplement for all women! How Does Vitex Chasteberry Extract Work? Chasteberry (also known as Vitex agnus-castus), is the fruit of the chaste tree. It is native to western Asia and southwestern Europe, and is now common in the southeastern United States. Chasteberry has been used for more than 2,500 years to treat various conditions. And just within the past 50 years, its been used in Europe for conditions such as premenstrual syndrome, breast discomfort and menstrual cycle irregularities.The U.S. has reported excellent findings on the effects of chasteberry and womens cycles. In the Journal of Reproductive Medicine (April 2004), a study was published on 30 women between the ages of 24-46 who had been unable to conceive. Fifteen were given a proprietary supplement that included chasteberry, green tea, L-arginine and other vitamins and minerals. The other 15 were given a placebo.
