NSI® Cranberry Extract is a potent extract of cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon),
a deep-red, tart-tasting fruit native to North America and commonly grown
throughout the northeastern U.S. in wet, sandy marshes or bogs.
Cranberries are rich in antioxidant phytochemicals, including anthocyanins (the
natural pigment responsible for the red and blue color of many fruits and
flowers) and proanthocyanidins, the ingredient believed to be responsible for
the cranberry’s bladder- protecting results.
Proanthocyanidins are strong, natural tannins that inhibit bacteria from
adhering to urinary tract walls, where it could multiply and potentially lead to
poor bladder health. Proanthocyanidins interfere with the bacteria’s adhesive
action, causing a reduce in the adhesive force between the bacteria and the cell
walls, so the organisms are instead flushed harmlessly from the body.
Cranberries also include antioxidant vitamin C, carbohydrates (glucose,
fructose), organic acids (ascorbic acid, benzoic acid, citric acid, quinic acid,
malic acid), vitamin A, B vitamins and several minerals.

of cranberry extract (standardized to 30% organic acids) per each one-capsule
