Devil's Claw is grown in Africa in the Kahari Desert, Namibia, and the island of Madagascar. The name comes from the hooks on the berries of the plant. The secondary storage roots, or tubers, are used in herbal supplements. Devil's Claw can be used in connection with rheumatoid arthritis, lower back pain, indigestion, and heartburn.
