Echinacea is a wildflower grown in North America. The root or above ground part of the flower is used medicinally. It is used in conjunction with the common cold, sore throat, immune function, infection, influenza, bronchitis, gingivitis, canker sores, cold sores, crohn's disease, recurrent ear infections, abnormal pap smear, vaginitis, and yeast infection. Goldenseal is grown in the northeastern US, particularly in Oregon and Washington. The dried root and rhizome are used medicinally. This is also used in conjunction with bronchitis, diarrhea, cold sores, common cold, sore throat, conjunctivitis, crohn's disease, gastritis, influenza, abnormal pap smear, urinary tract infection, vaginitis, and parasites. (Golden Seal should not be used for extended periods, by individuals with hypoglycemia, or by women who are pregnant.) Suggested Dosage: As a dietary supplement, take 1-3 capsules two times a day with meals or a glass of water. For optimal results, take continually for 14 days.
